That’s me walking with my kids and wearing a coat over an aerobics outfit. I am a professional choreographer. From 1983 I gave aerobics lessons in a studio in state company Svitanok on a self-supporting basis. Outfits for aerobics were usually common track pants and t-shirts. Some shortened their pants. Thigh high socks were an obligatory piece of such an outfit. We knitted them ourselves. I still knit high socks. At that time almost everybody could knit. When not wearing high boots I usually put the socks over my jeans. I had a hat, scarf and muff all similarly designed as high socks. Leggings and leotards you could usually buy at wildly high prices. They were selling only in black or white so we dyed them in different colours ourselves. Almost everything imaginable was used as a dye. After that we boiled them. Everybody was stylish and fashionable”.
