This building (40 Horodotska Street) is one of the oldest preserved buildings on Horodotska Street. The Ferdinand Barracks were built in 1841 for artillerymen, and from 1845, infantry units were stationed here. From 1840, the building adjacent to the barracks housed a cadet school, which was closed in 1882.
