
Former Prison of the Citadel Concentration camp

The photo shows the former barracks of the Citadel defense complex, which was used by the Germans for the needs of a concentration camp from 1941 to 1944. Since the beginning of 1941, the eastern wing (from which the photo was taken) was converted into prison cells, and the camp command was located in the western wing. Since January 1943, prisoners from the Rawa Russky concentration camp "Stalag 325" were transferred to the Citadel. The photo shows a view of the southern side of the western wing of the former barracks.
