Description: Tower No. 1 of the Citadel was built in 1853 as a component of the Citadel fortification and military complex. The photo represents the view of the tower at the time when the Citadel was a concentration camp. Today, the tower is used as a storage facility for the V. Stefanyk Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
