Interview with a man born in Donbass. In the year of his birth, his father was sent from to Lviv to build the Mikroprylad plant. The father was an electrician. He bought a three-room apartment from a Polish family who were leaving, near the factory, at the Pasichna Street. The man said that he learned from his father to work with electrical engineering and before studying at the Polytechnic, he went to work at his father's workshop at the factory. At first, he was a student, then became a locksmith. He described in detail the facts of "crunch culture", negligence, and excessive drinking practices among workers. After studying at the Polytechnic, he returned to the plant, now to the Design Bureau, to work as an engineer. He developed various electrical appliances and measuring equipment. He tells how he had to develop a device for the military industry, but he did not go into production. During a trip to the mountains organized by the plant, he met his future wife, who also worked at the Mikroprylad. He told how he joined the Communist party: at first, he was very ideological and applied to join the party membership, when he received the candidate's ticket, he changed his mind and burned the ticket. The man also described being granted vacation vouchers, and sports competitions organized by the plant.
