Interview with a woman born in Lviv. From 1984 to the present, the woman has been working at the Enzyme plant. The woman told about her childhood at the sidestreet to Kniahyni Olhy Str. She described the newly built neighbourhood. She said that her parents were allocated with a three-room apartment there. She talked about neighbors and friendships. She described school 31 and frequent trips to different republics organized by one of the teachers. In 1984, after college of food industry, she went to the Yeast Factory to work as a tank washer. She described the then factory, and the terrible sanitary conditions of her work. She talked about rats, and mold in basements, where there was a tank management system. She said that there was drunkenness at the factory at those times. In 1986, she became a replacement microbiologist, then she worked as a quality engineer, a forewoman, and a shift supervisor. Since 2000, she has been a Director of Quality Assurance. Currently, the woman works as a deputy director. She described how the factory survived in the 1990's, because everyone bought yeast for baking bread at home as it was cheaper that way. In general, she spoke about the success of production and how Enzyme managed to stay afloat.
