The building of the People's Bank was built in 1932-1933 designed by the Czech architect-constructivist A. Krupka. The People's Bank, like most of the administrative buildings of Uzhhorod, is located in the Galagov (Galago) microdistrict on the right bank of the Uzh River. This administrative center was designed in the early 1920s by professor of architecture A. Liebscher. During the "Hungarian" period (1938-1943), the Podkarpatskyi Bank was located here, the main type of activity of which was financial transactions related to the development of the forest industry and the activities of enterprises that were actively engaged in the export of wood during this period.
