- ID: 426

- Date: 1915-1916
View of the Main Pavilion under construction (facade). The Main Pavilion was built according to the design of the Hungarian architect and military István Médiasoy (based on his diploma thesis with the Viennese architect Otto Wagner - the National Pavilion on Gellert Hill in Budapest). Built of wood, the pavilion was quite large (about 46 x 8.5 m). Above the entrance was placed the new coat of arms of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, approved by Franz Joseph in 1915, by the outstanding Austrian heraldist N.G. Štröll. It consisted of the left part (a shield with the coats of arms of the Austrian crown lands under the Austrian crown, with a shield holder in the form of a griffin) and the right part (a shield with the coats of arms of the provinces of the Kingdom of Hungary under the crown of St. Stephen, with a shield holder in the form of an angel), connected personal coat of arms of the Habsburgs. At the bottom is the motto "Indivisibiliter ac Inseparabiliter" (indivisible and inseparable).
