Description

The street has had this name for 140 years. It was known since 1560 as Sokilnytska Doroga or Sokilnytskyi Shlyach, since 1690 it has been Shyroka Street (its upper part is St. Lazarus Street), and since 1871 it has been Kopernika Street. On the left is the building of the Bielski Palace, the Sapieha Palace, and the Church of the Holy Spirit. On the right is the building of the institution for the poor and the elderly, located in the St. Lazarus Monastery.
