first description of the plant settlement near the Kramatorska
station was published in <i>An Illustrated
Guide along the Kursk-Kharkiv-Sevastopol Railway</i>
in 1902; the first known mention of the Kramatorsk Metallurgical
Society plant school in Kramatorska dates from the same year.
Kramatorsk received the town status in 1932.</p>
