<p>On days of the local fair in the 19^th through the beginning of the 20^th Century, a lot of peasants from neighboring villages would come to Proskuriv with their goods – mostly produce and cattle. They would move along one of the major highways of the city – Kamianetska Street – sometimes creating long lines. Fairs in Proskuriv were conducted till the end of the 1920’s. The part of the street captured on the photograph was filled with multi-story apartment buildings from the 1950’s through the 1980’s.  <br /><em>Serhiy Esiunin</em></p>
